We stumbled upon an incredible place — so far, this is the most delicious pizza we’ve had in Norway! The coffee and desserts were a delight too! Thank you to the staff for the warm hospitality, we felt truly cozy and welcome :)

Wasn't expecting such a cosy and nice place at the heart of a residential area of Oslo which we discovered during our tourist walk close to our apartment. The pastries were really nice, nothing to envy Paris boulangeries... the bread with that French crunchy sound and amazingly soft and flavoured inside. My kids enjoyed ice cream and milkshake, I got some refreshing lemon and mint water, for free. There were a lot of families with children, which created a playful and friendly atmosphere for my kids, who could play games, draw and discover the books available as children activities. All this while you could admire the fresh bread and pastries coming out from the oven. The outdoor area is very cosy and colourful as well, planters with flowers and herbs, even celery and tomatoes!! Really nice setting, with soft blankets in case it gets too windy. We were there at lunch time and there were a lot of local customers, which, as I observed, just got some pizza, sandwiches or salty pizza croissants for lunch. We'll definitely come back to take bread and freshly made croissants for breakfast!- Price per person

JUL2024 - a perfect little and modern bakery in this very residential part of Oslo. We came for coffee but ended up trying their pizza. Wise decision - this place serves some of the best pizzas in Oslo. Worth a visit !!!

20.01.2021: This time, we visited one of my favourite bakeries in Oslo for their pizzas. Our choices were Nana and Imperiale. There is no doubt that the ingredients are high quality and I really enjoyed its crust too. I especially loved Nana since one of my fav pizza ingredients is artichokes. Apart from their croissants, other pastries and pizzas; their sourdough bread is also very delicious. Once again, I'm so happy that I visited Boulangerie M; thanks a lot for making everything absolutely delicious :-)Insanely delicious fresh pastries and coffee. Truly friendly staff who are always happy to see you. My personal top recommendations in Oslo 🤍

The best bakery in Oslo, away from tourist traps and amazing coffee, sweets, sandwiches and pizza .
Such friendly staff and the warm pastries straight out of the oven was so delicious, our favourite cafe in Oslo.

The loveliest place to spend a Sunday evening. The atmosphere couldn’t be better, the French music and chatter adds up to be the perfect mix for the best vibe. The food is absolutely stunning where every bite of their pizza takes you on a trip of thoughts about why you haven’t visited this place before. The service was excellent, the baristas were always doing something, and if you were to ask them something, they would make your request with a smile.- Wait time

A hidden pearl!
We were quite surprised, to find an authentic French boulangerie specimen in Ensjø. It was like stumbling across an Edelweiss on a beach in Fidji!
Regardless, the store has all the hallmarks of an authentic boulangerie and they excel at their craft. Just seeing breads and baked goods on trays, fresh out of the oven is worth a visit. Our brightest hope is that Boulangerie M will expand and open more locations around Oslo, so that at last, civilisation through 🥖 and 🥐 can be brought to our great city.
We only review croissants so here is our opinion on the one we had.
Price: ca 35 nok
Look and feel 5/6:
It is humongous, seldom have we seen such a large 🥐. It is light despite the volume ,a very good first impression is confirmed by a magnificent cross section. This 🥐 is super flaky, eating 🥐 should be messy and we ❤ this one for it.
Taste 5/6:
Refined and balanced. The butter does not dominate and leaves room for the yeast and dough to express themselves. Great texture with a crispy crust and soft interior.
Value for money 6/6:
Amazing quality for the price, they also have coffee and croissants deals which seem too good to be true.
When to have this croissant:
When you are curious as to what a real boulangerie feels like. If we lived closer, we would be there at least once a week. We also ❤ The cinnamon cruffins but that's another story 😉.Really nice workers and authentic french pastries😍 100% worth visiting!

There is a challenge to the place, alot of times very few pastries left on the counter, which at times can be heartbreaking when you look forward to your favourite pastry and it's not there when you arrive. We go there at least once a week. Download app for collecting points to get free coffee, pizza or bread.- Service
